Objectives To develop a robust European capacity for understanding the long-term human and societal implications of AI through workshops, seminars, and training programs. |
Description of work WP7 will focus on organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs aimed at fostering a deep understanding of the long-term human and societal implications of AI. These activities are intended to educate a diverse range of stakeholders, from scholars and students to policy makers and the general public, about the benefits and challenges associated with the use of AI in historical studies and other fields. The capacity-building initiatives will cover topics such as AI methodology in historical research, ethical considerations in AI deployment, and the use of AI for public engagement in cultural heritage. The work will also emphasize the creation of a robust network of professionals equipped to navigate and shape the future landscape of AI in the humanities. This network will facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices, and collaborative research efforts across various disciplines. The WP7 will be led by UA with Daniel Tejerina as the Site Project Director, Jaime Molina Vidal as a Senior Collaborator, and a Post-Doc. Additional expertise and support will be provided by collaborating participants from Partner 3-AI & Tool Developer and UC3M, with respective commitments from site project directors and post-docs specializing in AI, data, history research, and policy issues. Through these efforts, WP7 aims to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and ethically informed European infrastructure capable of integrating AI into the fabric of scholarly and cultural endeavors. The outcomes of this work package will include a series of capacity-building reports, policy briefs, and recommendations for integrating AI into academic curricula and professional development programs.
